Complete wax carving tuition- Beginners to Professional

Shopping around for individual classes and don’t know where to start or how to get the attention you need?

By attending this personal tuition course you can learn the whole shabang and come out the other end a competent wax carver ready to go into production. 

This course is run in 11 sessions that can be split up with one session a week on agreed dates. Please e mail me before booking to discuss date availability. 

Please note depending on either of our schedules there be some breaks And you should make time to practice at home. All sessions are run between the hours of 10am and 2.30pm on weekdays and we work out the schedule dates between us. Most sessions run for 3-4 hours. 

 The schedule runs as follows: 

Basic hard wax carving - 2.5 hrs

Metal finish off -2.5 hrs

Pink soft wax- 2.5 hrs

Brown soft wax- 2.5 hrs

Hard wax shaping- Make a pendant- 4 hrs

Hard wax shaping- Make a Signet Ring- 4 hrs

Hard wax shaping- Make a Cabochon ring- 4hrs

Direct casting with gemstones-4 hours

Build up hard wax- 4 hours 

Build up soft wax- 4 hours 

Extra and intensive finish off- 2 hours. Using barrel polishers etc. 

About your teacher. My name is Eran Naylor. I am a professional private jeweller and teacher and specialise in wax work. I use these methods every day in my own work. I teach classes one night a week and also help many wax students and Jewellery  professionals by private tuition. 

My tuition schedule tends to get booked quickly, so if you interested please get onto it and book ahead to make sure that you get the dates you want. Private tuition takes place in South Melbourne. The address is sent to students upon booking.
